The Barrie Spelling Top Student Summer School

Marketing is all about results. It's a creative and dynamic discipline - and direct and digital marketing are the fastest growing sectors. Now we're looking to find the people who will shape the future of our business.

Get on the fast track

We're looking for the next generation of talent to shape our business. During the week you'll get the chance to:-

  • Visit, and see in action, a top London marketing agency
  • Tackle a real, live marketing brief
  • Meet influential contacts for recruitment purposes
  • Learn about the wide-ranging careers in the profession
  • Graduate with an esteemed Certificate of Attainment.

The IDM's annual summer school introduces new graduates to the direct, data and digital marketing profession. It offers the opportunity to meet face to face with key industry figures, to learn from them and find out how to enter the profession. And what's more, it's FREE to attend.

The summer school takes place from 28th June to 2nd July 2010 and provides a valuable grounding in the business. The programme will show you what the profession is like, the types of companies you could work for and what they do. You'll meet senior executives from marketing agencies, client companies and service providers. And you'll work on a case study so you can try it out for yourself. By the end of the week, you should have a clear idea of which areas interest you most, and which type of role suits you best.

But it's not just all work and no play. The evenings will be spent socialising with other graduates as well as meeting the speakers and sponsors of the event.

Applications from undergraduate and postgraduate students of all disciplines, with a graduation date of 2009 or 2010are welcome. You will need to pass an assessment process to gain a place, and a maximum of 30 places are offered.

To apply, complete the application form.

The closing date for applications is 28 February 2010.
