GRANT THORNTON: 8 Task Challenge
If you’re looking for a real challenge, look no further!
The new and exciting 8 Task Challenge will allow you to test yourself against other students from the UK’s top universities and put you in with a chance of winning part of the £8,500 prize fund!
The Challenge is being run in partnership with Grant Thornton and is also being supported by the Financial Services Authority, CIMA, the Royal Bank of Scotland, Enterprise Rent-A-Car and E.ON. It involves you working in teams of four to complete eight tasks with the event being a cross between adventure racing and the krypton factor – so it’s designed to test you both mentally and physically.
The mental challenges will test your skills and competencies in a similar way to how graduate recruiters might test these during their recruitment process, while the physical challenges are an exciting combination of canoeing, cycling and running.
The day will then conclude with free refreshments and food along with a prize giving ceremony. So in addition to a great day out, it will also be a perfect opportunity for you to speak with graduate recruiters in a relaxed and fun atmosphere.
There are eight different competition categories, giving you a great chance of taking home a significant prize. Top prize is £3,000 for the overall challenge winners, with £1,500 going to the winning team and another £1,500 going to their club or society. To view all the prizes and see more details on the day take a look at the website at www.8taskchallenge.co.uk.
The event takes place on 24 April 2010 so all applications need to be submitted by 25 March 2010.
