Professor Russell Cowburn and his team win an Imperial College Research Excellence award

The Physics department is delighted  that Russell Cowburn and his team, working in nanoscale science and technology, have been awarded an Imperial College Research Excellence Award.

The Research Excellence Award scheme is designed to reward research teams that have demonstrated high academic achievement and have significant future potential.  This is the fourth year running that a team from the Physics Dept has received it, i.e. every year since the prize’s inception, and not without stiff competition.  It confirms the very high standard of, and esteem for, the Department’s research teams.

The full team is Dr Dorothee Petit, Dr Dan Read, Dr Laura Thevenard, Dr Vanessa Jausovec, Dr James Buchanan, Dr Chee Lim, Dr Fiona Turner, Dr Simon Buehlmann, Peter Seem, James Berg, Liam O’Brien, Huang Zeng, Emma Lewis, Joao Sampaio.

Congratulations to all !
