EFINANCIALCAREERS: Video Competition, 30 April 2010
Win a £250 prize for the best short video explaining why banking’s for you!
Are you a student who wants to work in banking (or maybe hedge funds, or private equity)?
Can you say, why - despite the financial crisis, despite the fact that bankers are more hated than politicians, despite the difficulty of buying a Ferrari with one year's bonus from now on - you still think the industry's for you? And, more to the point, why do you think you're right for the industry?
If so, you may be interested in the eFinancialCareers competition...
eFinancialCareers are looking for students who will make short 30 second (or so - slightly longer may be acceptable) video clips explaining why they still want to work in banking, and why banks should want to employ them.
They're not looking for cinematic quality films (footage shot on mobile phones is perfectly acceptable). Nor are they looking for anything too earnest in style!
The video should be witty, amusing, truthful, and entertaining clips about the ongoing appeal of investment banking careers, and the qualities that you can bring to them.
If you want, you can appear in your video so that viewers can see who you are. Alternatively, feel free to wear a disguise or to appear without showing your face. The choice is yours.
Having made your video, simply upload it to anywhere on YouTube, and send the URL to eFinancialCareers, along with your name, your university, a screen name to appear next to the video, and your contact details.
They'll showcase the best videos on the eFinancialCareers Student Centre. At the end of the competition, a panel of experts will judge the best one, and the winner will receive a prize worth £250, including a Wii with Wii Sports and £100 of Amazon vouchers.
