BP Opportunity Awards

BP is committed to supporting individuals who will be the future talent in our industry throughout their education. Our scholarships recognise, reward and support academic excellence and support the potential for future achievement in the workplace.

What is a BP Opportunity Award?

A BP opportunity award is scholarship funding that will help support your final year study of your four year integrated masters course. We offer scholarships for a range of subjects within key science and engineering disciplines.

Am I eligible?

To apply you need to be in your penultimate year of a masters course. You will also need to be eligible for one of our graduate programmes - please see BP's eligibility table.

What is the process?

Please submit your application via the BP website . Applications open on 1st April 2010 and close on 1st June 2010. If successful you will be invited for a personal interview from June onwards. The final stage of the process will be a technical interview in September 2010. If you are successful you will be awarded the scholarship and funding at the beginning of your final year of study.

What are the benefits?

If successful you will be awarded £5,000 to support your final year of study. If you reach the required standard at the interview process you will be given an assessment centre place in Autumn 2010. You have no obligation to take up this place if you accept the scholarship.
