Research projects offering strategic partnerships with industry
The David Livingstone Centre for Sustainability in the Department of Civil Engineering at Strathclyde University is offering up to 22 funded studentships for its MRes courses involving strategic collaboration with industry.
What is an MRes?
An MRes is a 1 year Masters by Research degree combining 33% taught modules and 67% research Project.
An MRes is a stand-alone postgraduate degree,but on successful completion of the research project it is also possible for good quality researchers to transfer to the PhD Programme.
The current MRes courses accept graduates from a wide range of Science and Engineering disciplines, as well as considering other backgrounds such as Business.

- MRes Geoenvironmental Engineering
- MRes Infrastructure Adaptation for Climate change
- MRes Integrated Pollution Prevention & Control
Funding will cover full tuition fees for home/EU students and partial tuition fees for overseas students.
