Dr Paul Wilde, Senior Lecturer in the Department of Chemistry receives a Rector's Award for Excellence in Teaching.

At the recent Education Day 2010, Dr Paul Wilde, Senior Lecturer in the Department of Chemistry received a Rector's Award for Excellence in Teaching.

These awards are intended to raise the profile of teaching in the College and are granted to staff judged to have been most outstanding in the quality, organisation and presentation of their teaching.

The criteria for these awards include:
• Quality of course design and delivery
• Clarity of course objectives
• Teaching methods as matched to objectives
• Assessment methods as matched to objectives
• Teaching material
• Innovation in course design and teaching methods
• Feedback from students
