Joint honours for Business School professors
Three of the Business School's senior professors, including its two most senior women, are recognised in the Queen’s Birthday Honours.
Professors David Gann and Carol Propper are appointed CBE for services respectively to engineering and social sciences. Deputy Principal, Prof Dot Griffiths, is appointed OBE for services to higher education.
The Principal Prof David Begg said: “For the School to have three colleagues heading to Buckingham Place is a truly astonishing achievement and testament to our world-class standing and the breadth and depth of our talent pool. It is especially pleasing that our two most senior female academics have been honoured, and wonderful that David Gann's leadership in innovation has been recognised.”
Prof Carol Propper, head of the School's Healthcare management group, is Professor of Economics. She also holds a Chair in Economics at Bristol University.
Prof David Gann, head of the School's Innovation and Entrepreneurship Group, is Professor of Technology and Innovation Management – a joint appointment between the Business School and Imperial's Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering.
Deputy Principal Dot Griffiths is Professor of Human Resource Management and Head of Programmes.
