Imperial voted Best University Accommodation for Groups
Imperial was voted Best University Accommodation for Groups 2010 by readers of Group Travel Organiser magazine.
For the first time, Imperial College London Summer Accommodation Team participated in the Group Travel Awards on Friday 11 June 2010 at the London Hilton, beside Hyde Park.
The Group Travel Awards are an annual celebration of the best suppliers to the group travel industry. Each year the group travel organiser readers of Group Travel Organiser magazine are asked to vote for who they think are the best suppliers in more than 20 categories.
Imperial College London was short listed for the Best University Accommodation for Groups category.
Amina Hofri, Vacation Business Development Manager, Rebecca Butler, Head of Commercial Accommodation and Lucy Spasova-Joneja, Group Accommodation Coordinator, attended the award ceremony where the results were announced. Unfortunately Imperial didn't win the award this year but had the nomination and the experience of taking part in such an event was extremely positive and will no doubt benefit the vacation accommodation business at Imperial. The University of Kent topped the category once again this year and walked away with the award so well done to them for the second time.
It was an evening to remember for the summer accommodation team and a great opportunity to network and meet peers from the travel trade industry.
