STUDY CHINA PROGRAMME: Easter 2011

Study China

Funded places on the Study China Programme. Open to full-time undergraduate students in English, Scottish and Northern Ireland Universities and Colleges of Further Education.

Would you like to spend three exciting weeks in China to learn its language and develop an understanding of its culture, business and life in general?

Following the huge success of previous Study China Programmes since summer 2007, the Department for Innovation, Universities and Skills, the Scottish Government and the Department for Employment and Learning in Northern Ireland are now funding over 400 places per year for full time undergraduates and HND students to go to China.

Successful candidates will be learning Chinese language, attending lectures on Chinese culture, society, history and economy and visiting local businesses. We work with host universities in Beijing, Shanghai, Jinan, Hangzhou and Nanjing. Programmes run every summer and Easter for three weeks with a choice of two locations each time.

You can expect a once in a life experience through this programme. Our previous students have written glowing reviews on our website - www.studychina.org.uk.

Please note that the online application form for the Easter 2011 programme is live on our website now.

The Easter 2011 programme will be 10th-29th April and students will have the choice between Hangzhou, Jinan or Nanjing. We do not currently know whether the government sponsors will decide to continue funding the programme after the Easter 2011 programme so this could be the last of its kind - don't miss out!

You can find our Facebook profile for those interested in applying here - www.new.facebook.com/group.php?gid=41373606754. We strongly recommend that you join the Facebook group. You can also find Facebook groups for previous programmes and alumni with lots of information and photographs.

The online application form is on our website on the ‘how to apply' page. If you have any further questions please feel free to contact us either via Facebook or the contact details below.

We look forward to receiving your application. Good luck!
