Alumni rate programme for relevancy and career progression in FT rankings
School scores with Executive MBA alumni
26 October 2010
The FT's EMBA 2010 rankings rated the School number two in the world for its teaching of entrepreneurship this week.
Overall the School fell slightly from 31st to 34th place, but as the FT points out, the tables should be read as being made up of four groups. The School remains firmly in the second group along with Cass, Columbia, Cornell, IESE and the Said Business School.
Analysis of the results also shows that the School does particularly well in categories directly related to the alumni experience both during the course and in their subsequent careers.
Our alumni voted the School 14th in the world for fulfilling their most important goals or reasons for advanced study. This is also mirrored in our ranking of 22 out of 100 for career progress, calculated on level of seniority and size of employing company now and before completing the EMBA.
Said Principal Prof David Begg: "It is clear from that our EMBA is fit for purpose - our alumni tell us so. It's in the nature of the FT rankings that some schools will dominate from their sheer size so to rank so highly from the alumni perspective is very encouraging. The ranking for entrepreneurship teaching confirms our decision to put innovation and entrepreneurship at the core of our MBA programmes."
