Our very brightest students benefit from School scholarships across all programmes

Brightest and the best

2 November 2010

One of the School's key aims is to attract the finest student minds to join its programmes and the very best are rewarded with scholarships.

Competition is incredibly fierce as each scholarship winner knows they have a very powerful addition to their CV.

For Imperial MBA student Saumil Rampal his award via the School's Rajiv Gandhi Centre meant he could take his management qualification far earlier than otherwise would have been the case. Said Saumil: "It's made a big difference. I am now taking my MBA at least five years earlier than I would have been able to without the extra financial help of the scholarship."

And for MSc Finance student Vincent Simmons, the award meant he could move directly from his first degree in economics and statistics at UCL to the School. "The scholarship has eased the financial burden considerably," he said. "And I hope the added prestige will help me to become a City trader."

MSc Management student Louisa Hambi says the prestige is important. "It's a very competitive jobs market and to hold a scholarship is definitely going to help." Louisa intends to move into management consultancy after graduating.
