Congratulations to Candela and Crispin

Cristian Candela and Mireia Crispin were awarded the 'Special Prize for the International Year for the Rapprochement of Cultures '

"Cristian Candela and Mireia Crispin have recieved a special prize of 9500€ (the highest amount awarded), called "Special Prize for the International Year for the Rapprochement of Cultures"  for the project "Formulation of a semiempirical model for the Bragg peak within the context of hadrontherapy"  by the Spanish Minister for Education.The project originated at Imperial College London during their stay as Physics undergraduate exchange students in the past year. They were supervised at Imperial by Dr Morteza Aslaninejad and their work resulted as well in a publication at Nuclear Instruments and Methods in Physics Research, Section B."
