FOREIGN & COMMONWEALTH OFFICE: Fancy a career in the European Civil Service?

Foreign & Commonwealth Office

Ever fancied a career change? Come and hear about fulfilling your global potential with a career in the European Civil Service.

MONDAY 7 FEBRUARY 2011, FOREIGN & COMMONWEALTH OFFICE (LONDON), 2:00PM

The Foreign & Commonwealth Office would like to invite you to join the Minister for Europe at a special event being held to raise awareness of career opportunities in the European Civil Service.

The EU needs people with a wide variety of academic backgrounds, including lawyers, economists, auditors, IT and even nuclear inspectors! If this sounds like you, and you have (or would be prepared to acquire) some French or German language skills you could be just the person we’re looking for.

Perhaps you’re working in a job that doesn’t quite fit your future ambitions. Or you’d like to know about the exciting opportunities that exist. Either way, come along and find out what kind of career you could have in the European Civil Service.  EU civil servants work on important issues like providing aid to developing countries, negotiating trade settlements or agreeing key advances on climate change policy.

A limited number of places are available so express your interest in attending this event ASAP! Please reply to EUInvitations@fco.gov.uk

Thank you,
