Physics is fertile in London according to the current issue of THES reports.

 We are rightly suspicious of metrics but it’s nice when they prove how excellent we are!

 The current issue of THES reports on a new review of research strength by subject and city, based on citation  rates taking into account the size of the city.

 For Physics London is adjudged the best city in Europe and second best in the world.
