The centre hosted a workshop for over 75 researchers and policymakers to discuss how the National Institute for Health and Clinical Excellence (NICE) should set its cost-effectiveness threshold.

 As part of a continuing research initiative, on 9 May 2011 the Centre hosted a workshop for over 75 researchers and policymakers to discuss how the National Institute for Health and Clinical Excellence (NICE) should set its cost-effectiveness threshold. This research, funded by the Medical Research Council, is seeking to inform the maximum price that the National Health Service should expect to pay for new technologies.
