BBQ in Nigeria - Event Report

Nigeria BBQ

A note from the organisers of the alumni barbecue in Nigeria, held on Saturday 7 April 2007.

Thank you all for taking time out from your busy schedules and attending the event.
 
The general consensus was that event was a success, with many well-wishers in attendance, and a good start for making the alumni association more active and relevant.

  
 
It was generally agreed that follow-up events should take place but there should be an agenda for such events.
 
My suggestion is that the alumni association should focus on key areas that are relevant to our areas of expertise and will contribute to the development of our country. With this in mind, the following areas are proposed:
 
1. Oil & Gas
2. Power
3. Telecoms
4. Finance
 
Depending on demand the next event be focused on one of these areas.
