CMS/PWPs - PWP Email address now optional
Email addresses on PWPs may now be switched off by means of the Display Controls
PWP Email address now optional
Previously, email addresses could not be 'switched off' on PWPs. They were always displayed to users within College and to external users.
A recent upgrade to the PWP functionality added the option to switch off the display of the email address both internally and externally, or to either one.
This can be done by anyone with edit rights to the PWP.
To switch off email address:
- Go to the required PWP
- Log in if not already
- Click on the Display Controls link. You will see the Display Controls menu:
- Click on Personal Information. You will see this list of fields:
- Set the ticks against 'EMAIL' as required and click Submit.
- The settings will be saved and the email address will be shown or hidden as requested.
Update 2 December 2005 We have now corrected the small bug whereby if you reopened the Personal Information settings page ticks reappeared against the EMAIL address and you had to clear them again.
