CREATIVESTUDENT.NET: Video Guide Project - Student producer Opportunity,

Become a Video Producer with our insider guide project

CreativeStudent.net is teaming up with Sony VAIO to provide 'insider guides' to being a student at Warwick University, Southampton University, Nottingham University and Imperial College London.

These 'insider guides' will consist of a number of short voxpop-based video packages each based around a different theme - eg lectures, text books, exams, computers, money, drinking, eating, societies, cheap stuff - and will feature tips, advice and insights from existing students.

The video guides will be made available to Freshers at each university via both Sony VAIO's on-campus activity and a special YouTube channel linked to from CreativeStudent.net.

These videos need to provide a *real* insider guide to life at your university, and the best way to do this is to get students involved in making them.

CreativeStudent.net are looking for student producers interested in creating content for the insider guide for their university. These are voluntary positions, but the project provides a great opportunity to get involved in an exciting video project, and to have your work exposed to a wider student audience both locally and national, and to key players in the marketing industry. Your work will also be promoted via the CreativeStudent.net website.

What you will need to do...

- Over a period of 1-2 weeks (starting asap) record ten indepth interviews and at least ten short interviews with other students from your university.

- CreativeStudent.net will need you to identify and approach potential interviewees, arrange a place on campus to interview them, finalise the questions you're going to ask, record the interviews, and then upload your content to our servers.

- You might want to do the whole project yourself - arranging interviewees, finalising questions, filming the interviews - or you might want to take on one of those roles and involve friends to undertake other tasks.

- You will be given guidance on how to go about creating this content, some basic questions to ask, tips on how best to film the interviews, plus we can loan you a camera.

You should be able to easily do the project in 1-2 weeks, with 1-2 days of planning and 2-3 days of filming.

If you are interested, email your name, phone number and the following to recruitment@unlimitedmedia.co.uk

1. A brief summary of any media work you have done in the past (including student radio, press and TV, and any relevant academic projects)

2. A brief summary of how you would do this project (ie if you would do it alone, or if you would involve others, and if so who).

3. A copy of your current CV.

CreativeStudent.net want to recruit student producers very quickly so they can start work asap - ie once students are back to interview, but before everyone gets too busy with lectures. So if you're interested, email now!
