Research

Our project started in May 2025, and following the ethical approval, the team has begun to recruit staff and student participants for the focus groups to explore students’ and staff perceptions of effective feedback practice across STEMMB disciplines and their views on the usefulness and limitations of GenAI-assisted feedback. By exploring these areas, this project aims to enhance feedback delivery, reduce staff workload, and improve students' engagement with feedback and encourage them to take meaningful action based on it. The research findings will inform the design of a feedback-focused chatbot that aligns with disciplinary needs and institutional objectives, contributing to more sustainable and meaningful feedback cultures in Higher Education.
