While we will consider all applications on an individual basis, the following types of experience would be beneficial for participants in the Summer School:

  • An undergraduate and/or postgraduate qualification in a STEM subject;
  • Familiarity with maths topics such as calculus and linear algebra;
  • Experience of programming in Python
  • Enthusiasm and a willingness to work as part of a team!

We welcome applications from overseas students. A visa invitation letter can be provided upon request.

English Language Requirements

All applicants must demonstrate that they meet the standard English language competency level. You can do so by achieving the minimum score in one of the tests or qualifications Imperial College London accepts; showing that you are exempt from English language requirements; or passing the Imperial College London Pre-Sessional English Programme. For more details about how to demonstrate English language proficiency, please read the Imperial College London English Language Requirements.

Application Review Process

Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis, and we aim to respond with a decision within 3 weeks of the submission. We encourage applicants to apply as soon as possible, as places are limited and will be allocated on a first-come-first-served basis. Applications will close as soon as all places are filled.
