The West London Healthy Home and Environment Study (WellHome) funded by UKRI through the SPF Clean Air Programme, is a pioneering community-based initiative exploring indoor and outdoor air quality and its impact on asthma.
This project integrates cutting-edge scientific research with a unique approach to community engagement. Over the last three years, the WellHome team, in collaboration with Imperial College London's White City Engagement Team and community partners Nova and Bubble & Squeak, has engaged with and involved the local community in investigating air quality and its impact on asthma. Using a diverse range of methods—from participatory arts projects to co-production activities—they have fostered collaboration, knowledge-sharing, and meaningful participation.
This report highlights WellHome’s engagement journey, showcasing key milestones and recognising the invaluable contributions of all those who have made this initiative possible.
