The Centre for Sectoral Economic Performance is investigating ways of improving the competitiveness of the UK economy and driving economic growth. There are huge opportunities for the UK’s key science and technology-based industries to generate real growth, but they also face challenges from rising global competition and counterproductive policy directions. We are researching the factors that will ensure they achieve their potential for global success and engaging with industry and government to develop actionable recommendations.
