PhD/ Postdoc Volunteer Call-out

We are looking for three or four post-docs or PhD students to take part in a summer school event hosted by the Faculty of Medicine and will take place in the SAF building on the 23rd July (PM), 2018.

The summer school is attended by undergraduate students from the UK and across the globe (there are up to 80 attendees) and is broken down into a variety of themed sessions. This year, one of the themes is “stem cells and regenerative medicine”. For more details, you can access the website here.

We are planning to delivery some morning lectures on the basics of stem cells and regenerative medicine, but during the PM session, we would very much like to showcase some of the specific work that is carried out at Imperial within the field. To this avail, we are looking for volunteers who would be willing and able to come and deliver a short, 15 minute talk describing what they are investigating, why they are investigating it (i.e. the rationale and potential applications of your work) and then some of your key findings so far.

This is an excellent opportunity to get involved with the teaching process at Imperial and should also provide you with a good platform to showcase your work.

If you would be interested in taking part, please contact Samir Nuseibeh who is organising the event.
