Autumn Term Technical Staff Forum
Wednesday 24 November 2021, 14.00 – 15.00 (MS Teams)
Keynote speaker: Ian Day, Maintenance Manager, Estates Operations
We are delighted to be welcoming Ian Day, Maintenance Manager for the South Team at South Kensington campus, as our keynote speaker for this term’s event. Ian is responsible for two teams of technical staff, covering two shifts of maintenance and responsive repairs across a variety of different buildings. Ian has also been involved in the set-up of a brand-new technical apprenticeship scheme. Come along to hear about the work of the maintenance team and how this has changed since Ian joined Imperial back in 1998. Find out what the challenges have been during the pandemic, how the team is developing, and have an opportunity to ask Ian some questions!
Ian will be joined at this event by Tim Venables, Faculty Operating Officer for Engineering and Institutional Lead for the Technician Commitment. Allison Hunter, Technicians’ Network chair, will also be sharing the latest news and updates pertinent to the technical community.
To book your place, please register in My Training in ICIS. Search for ‘Technicians' Network 2021-2022’. You will then be sent the MS Teams link and joining instructions.
