AB - The electron energy spectrum in a long period superlattice structure is investigated. It is shown that for a one dimensional model consisting of an array of delta functions it is possible to obtain the eigenvalues and wavefunctions exactly for all antiphase domain sizes. These results are used to examine the accuracy of calculations previously made by various approximate methods.
