In late 2025, The Works cafe closed to allow for a full refurbishment. This project encompassed a full renovation to the front and back of house areas, drastically enhancing what it could offer the community.
Now open again, The Works offers a far more comfortable and flexible environment with upgraded furniture, a refreshed layout and an improved service offering. It now supports a wider range of affordable food options, including a greater variety of hot food offerings and an expanded value-for-money menu.
Behind the scenes, improved kitchen and storage facilities allows the café to operate more efficiently and better cater for campus hospitality needs. The renovated space also boasts an improved bar area to encourage evening socialising.
Further improvements, including to the MSRH Common Room and the Student Hub, are also currently underway, and we look forward to providing more details on these projects in due course.
