The Invention Rooms are just a 2 minute walk from White City Underground Station (Central line). Wood Lane station (Hammersmith and Circle lines) is a 5 minute walk away. Shepherds Bush station (Central line, Overground and National Rail connections) is a 20 minute walk away. Local bus routes include: 72, 95, 220, 228 and 272.

The Interaction Zone

A warm and welcoming space where community programmes, events and activities take place, including family science workshops and Agents of Change.

The Interaction Zone also has meeting rooms available for community-university projects with WiFi connectivity throughout the venue.

The Dangoor Reach Out Makerspace

A unique workshop and design studio where the local community can get hands-on experience of making and prototyping.

There are free after-school programmes for local young people and equipment to make just about anything – from wearable technology to household gadgets.

Advanced Hackspace

A cutting-edge workshop facility for staff, students and partners to develop new ideas and prototypes.

The workshop has 3D printing and digital manufacturing, woodwork and metalwork, and a bio-lab for synthetic biology and molecular fabrication.

The Interaction Zone

The Interaction Zone is an event space within The Invention Rooms that hosts community and college projects across the year, for local families, organisations and authorities as well as Imperial College departments, staff and students.

We have a large event space and a meeting room, free WiFi throughout the venue and provide complimentary hot drinks for your visit.

Our large event space has a 9 screen video wall which can be used for presentations, videos and slide shows. The large meeting room has a projector screen and a large screen portable TV.

We are able to present through Teams and Zoom with hybrid technology should some participants be unable to join you but still want to be included in your meeting.
