Explore new public areas and gallery spaces of the V&A Exhibition Road Quarter with Imperial teams presenting wearable technologies and the science of clouds as part of a week-long festival celebrating the Museum’s architecture, heritage and history.

Imperial’s involvement begins during a special Friday night Lates evening with teams from our Industrial Design Engineering joint masters course with the Royal College of Art presenting the latest wearable technologies with the iconic V&A’s Fashion Galleries . WIM, a biomimicry suit that records digitally dancer’s movement to aid choreography will be on show with the team behind it working with professional dancers on a unique performance. Alongside them will be the students behind Skinterface, a suit that lets you feel in virtual reality with opportunities for the public to try it on and interact with the virtual world
Saturday 1 July
Dr Simon Foster and colleagues from the Imperial’s Space and Atmospheric Physics group will be out on Exhibition Road from the following morning allowing visitors to ‘hold a cloud,’ investigate how variations in pressure lead to changes in our weather systems, and learn how pollution in the atmosphere can affect the weather and climate
