This one-day workshop is compulsory for new non-clinical lecturers and is intended for staff who are beginning to teach undergraduate and/or postgraduate students at Imperial. There is a specially designed variant of this workshop for staff in the Faculty of Medicine.

It is an opportunity for new and experienced staff to consider the factors that influence the manner in which students learn, and how teachers can best facilitate that learning across the whole range of their work. As well as considering relevant teaching and learning methods; course participants will take part in a number of learning activities and will be encouraged to reflect on their own teaching responsibilities.

This workshop has considerable overlap with Introduction to Teaching and Learning in the Faculty of Medicine, which is specifically designed for clinicians and those working in the Faculty of Medicine. For further information and to book online, please see the workshop webpage.
