Research Area

Topic: “Light Weight Component Manufacturing by Using High Strength Aluminium Alloys”.

I began studying for a Ph.D. in 2016. This research project is sponsored by Heilongjiang Academy of Sciences (HAS) which mainly focused on compares two different forming technologies between single point incremental forming and hot/warm stamping, which aims to further explore the understanding of lightweight applications in automotive industries. The research work includes investigations of mechanical properties of aluminium alloys, forming tests, Finite Element Method (FEM) of both forming processes, as well as post-form strength and springback optimization.
