MUSE - Introducing a new energy systems model

Imperial College London have developed a new global energy systems model to help find solutions to climate change.

The new model, called MUSE, uses an agent-based approach that aims to simulate real investment decision making. This is a novel approach that differs from most models currently relied upon by decision makers, because it gives insight on the impact of the motivations of businesses and consumers on climate change mitigation. It can shed light on the technology options, energy mixes, policies and regulations that are most likely to be successful.

The MUSE modelling framework is released open-source for the benefit of the community.
