Working with the Interdisciplinary Edtech Lab, and a group of AI Futurists from the College, the DML produced three short instructional animations, and an introductory video for the course.
The new introductory course is the College's first ever course aimed at all students, covering scenarios they might encounter whilst using GenAi tools. The animations are designed to be light hearted and memorable, but above all informative to help reinforce some of the course's suggestions about how students can approach the use of GenAi.

The animated characters - Alex, and Alex's 'future self' - speak to each other through the computer, with the 'future self' passing on guidance and insight. Topics such has how to appropriately use AI whilst writing assignments, looking for source materials and publications, and to help understand complicated subjects are explored through dialogue and graphics. animations
