Human and artificial intelligence have traditionally been studied apart. We're bridging the two by building a unified science of intelligence grounded in real people, contexts and workflows - so that humans and machines can learn and adapt together.
As part of our approach, we explore how intelligence is embodied in humans and machines and how it emerges from interactions among brains, bodies, systems and societal contexts.
Our vision is a paradigm in which human and artificial intelligence co-evolve, enabling adaptive and responsible AI that augments both human and machine potential, can act in the real world, and embeds ethics and governance from the start.

We want to build technology where AI works together with people to get the best out of both, instead of thinking about solutions where AI does everything on its own. Professor Aldo Faisal Human and Artificial Intelligence Co-Director
