The ENHANCE mentoring scheme pairs current postdoctoral researchers with potential postgraduate research students from identities or backgrounds that are currently underrepresented in STEM research.  

The programme runs from November to April and involves:  

  • 1:1 sessions: mentees are paired with a postdoctoral mentor to provide guidance on the PhD application process. This includes insight into academia feedback on applications, project discussions and practice interviews and feedback sessions.  
  • Careers workshop: Bespoke session with our careers service to develop application and interview skills.
