What can you do during your PhD to ensure that you are in the best position to grow your career once you have completed? Whether you are considering an academic career or moving beyond academia, this course will help you make the most of your PhD experience in terms of exploring your options and building your knowledge to be successful in your chosen career.
This course is delivered by the Imperial Careers Service, who support all current PhD students with their careers and PhD graduates for up to three years after graduation.
You will be referred to two optional activities to complete before the course. These should take no more than 30 minutes. Completing the activities will enable you to get more out of attending the workshop.
This course is open to all Research Degree Students.

- Identify the elements involved in good career planning and decision making
- Recognise the range of careers open to you within and beyond academia
- Create strategies to research your options during your PhD
