Do you need to keep up with developments in your research area? Are you aware of the tools that are available for staying informed in your field?
This session is designed to provide you with an introduction to a variety of resources for locating information and keeping up-to-date in your research area. This hands-on session will show you various relevant and useful tools for keeping abreast of developments in your research area.
This course is open to Research Degree Students, Postdocs & Research Fellows.
Learning Outcomes
On completion of this workshop you will be able to:
- Identify key tools to help you keep up to date with developments.
- Recognise the value of these tools as research tools.
- Employ the use of RSS feeds, E-mail alerts, mailing lists and other tools in your research.
- Use these tools to keep up to date in your research field.
- Develop and broaden your knowledge in your research area through being able to use these services and tools.
