ECRI’s primary stakeholders can engage with ECRI’s Cohort Delivery Programme free of charge and can request ECRI to:
- Deliver existing “off-the-shelf” courses for a ‘cohort closed’ group.
- Request ‘Cohort Block Booking(s)’ – available for smaller cohort groups wanting to reserve places on ECRI’s regular scheduled provision for ECRs. This process is open to book anytime.
- Postgraduate Taught level Course Organisers may use the cohort delivery process to book their students onto the following courses, which are still a part of our ECRI offer for master’s level students: Preparing a PhD Proposal, Stepping Up: Masters to PhD. These courses have been specifically designed to support the transition into Research.
Criteria:
Imperial Departments are asked to review ECRI’s Cohort Delivery Programme Criteria to ensure they meet the parameters prior to completing the booking form:
- ‘Cohort Closed Course(s)’ requests can only be made annually from 01 July – 31 July. Imperial Departmental Administrators will be emailed annually when booking requests are open.
- Requests for cohort closed course(s) are subject to ECRI tutor(s) availability and will be offered on a first-come first-served basis.
- ECRI reserves the right to deny requests under any circumstances, including and not limited to: lack of resources, low booking registrations etc. Request(s) can be cancelled at any stage if it is felt the criteria listed, or otherwise, haven’t been met.
- Delivery of any ‘Cohort Closed Course(s)’ can only be scheduled annually from the second week in October to the end of July. Any requests outside this period can be negotiated on a case-by-case basis
- Delivery of any ‘Cohort Closed Courses’ for ECRs is free of charge, except where:
-
- External organisations charge ECRI for course materials, for example Myers Briggs
-
- Where accommodation and subsistence are required i.e. residential or longer course (see Internal Consultancy Process)
-
- Where ECRI collaborates with other support services and is charged by these services. This cost will be covered by the requester.
