The Early Career Researcher Institute (ECRI) would like to invite you to our Doctoral Student Spring Welcome, which will be held on the South Kensington campus on Thursday 26 March 2026, 2 to 4pm.
What to expect
- A welcome from ECRI, including an overview of the support available to you
- An introductory talk from the Imperial College Union (ICU) on what they offer and how to engage with them
- A Q&A panel of 2nd and 3rd year doctoral students to answer your questions
- Tea, coffee and cakes and the opportunity to meet other students
- Takeaway information from Imperial’s support services

Doctoral Student Welcome Events 2025
ECRI held two Doctoral Student Welcome events on the South Kensington and White City campuses in October 2025. These events consisted of:
- introductory talks from Senior Imperial and ECRI representatives, as well as members of the Imperial College Union (ICU)
- a Q&A panel with current doctoral students
- refreshments and the chance to meet other students and speak to a number of support services within Imperial
