About

Antonio is now an honorary research associate with the Complex Multiscale Systems group. Following PhD joined eBay as Yield Data Scientist. Now eBay Yield Data Scientist and eBay UK Shadow Board Member.

I obtained my PhD in the Complex Multiscale Systems group in the Department of Chemical Engineering at Imperial College London, headed by Prof. Serafim Kalliadasis. Prior to this, I did Masters in Mechanical Engineering at Polytechnic of Turin where I was supervised in my research project by Prof. Pietro Asinari, also at the University of Illinois at Chicago, in the group of Prof. Constantine Megaridis, and at the Polytechnic of Milan (Alta Scuola Politecnica).

My current research interest is the understanding and application of Molecular Dynamics (MD). Applied to multiscale processes, from fluid dynamics to biology, MD allows us to understand difficult phenomena with an intricate dynamics difficult (if not impossible) to understand otherwise.

Research

My Masters' research project was mainly focused on continuous computational fluid dynamics. We conducted analytical and numerical studies of droplet impact on hydrophilic, hydrophobic and wettability-patterned solid surfaces.

In the Complex Multiscale Systems group, I investigated the physical properties of systems confined in nano-sized geometries. The ultimate goal of this project was to understand the dynamic aspects of biological processes and bio-structures.
