Our outreach events are designed to create meaningful connections and spark interesting conversations between our world-class scientists and the public. Through interactive workshops, public lectures, and school visits, we strive to make complex research accessible and engaging, and offer valuable insights into a career in the field to inspire the next generation of researchers.

British Science Week 2025
On 11-12 March, as part of British Science Week, UK DRI researchers led interactive activities on brain health and dementia at Archbishop Sumner Primary School. Students recreated neurons with paint, explored Alzheimer’s disease with fluorescent microscopy images, and played a signal-passing game to understand brain cell communication. The sessions aimed to spark curiosity about neuroscience and inspire future scientists.
