Public speaking isn’t just about sharing information or expressing your thoughts—it’s also about speaking confidently to influence your audience’s emotions, actions, and attitudes. In this course, you will learn how to become a confident public speaker by overcoming your fears, projecting your voice, and articulating your words effectively to engage with your audience.  You will also learn how great public speakers demonstrate confidence through body language.

This course is open to Research Degree Students, Postdocs & Research Fellows.

Learning Outcomes

On completion of this course you will be able to:

  • Employ techniques to overcome your fear(s) of public speaking
  • Develop your voice projection
  • Apply techniques to speak articulately
  • Demonstrate confidence through body language
