In this highly interactive course, you will explore the critical elements and techniques to produce an engaging and effective poster. You will analyse the importance of the audience and how to use graphics, analysing some sample posters to consolidate your learning.
In preparation for the live session you will need to prepare a draft poster (duration: about 1 hour). You are not asked to add content, but only to create an engaging title, a good layout and a balanced colour-combination. You will receive a handout with guidelines to prepare it. You will use your draft poster for an activity during the live session.
You will receive the credit by completing all pre-course activities and participating in all live session activities.
This course is suggested to 1st year doctoral students, it contains basics to design posters, but it is open to all research degree students.
