Abstract
National security is a challenging setting for the application of science and technology. This talk will present a perspective on these challenges and will specifically address the particular research challenges and opportunities for the data sciences, setting the scene for data science research taking place in this sector.
About the Barlow Memorial Lecture
The Barlow Memorial Lecturer is run by UCL Electronic and Electrical Engineering and The Alan Turing Institute. The Barlow Lecture is held in memory of Harold Everard Monteagle Barlow (1899-1989) who was the Head of the Department of Electronic and Electrical Engineering at UCL from 1950 to 1967.
