The Physics Outreach team at Imperial College London, together with CADSTI and BFUWI, hosted an event which aimed to encourage more students- especially those of African and Caribbean heritage- to pursue further study in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths)
Attendees were exposed to some leading areas of research and were left with a ‘yes you can attitude’ with regards to STEM. Speakers included the President of CADSTI, Professor Warde, Elizabeth Mullings-Smith (BFUWI) and Dr Mark Richards, the head of Outreach at Imperial College London. One attendee at the event said that there was a lot of insightful information with regards to history and career progression. Click here to view the programme.
