ISADE is short for International Symposium on the Analysis and Detection of Explosives. The symposium is organised by three Dutch organisations engaged with research and development on explosives: the Netherlands Forensic Institute (NFI), the Netherlands Organisation for Applied Scientific Research (TNO) and the National Coordinator for Counterterrorism and Security (NCTV).

Concentrating on analysis and detection, participants will present results and discuss groundbreaking developments in the fields of forensics and security covering the following themes:
1. Complementary and common issues in security and forensics
2. ‘New’ explosives: state-of-the-art and beyond
3. From analytical to operational and vice versa
