As records are broken and the pace to Net Zero picks up, National Grid ESO’s Roisin Quinn will explore what this means for the operation of the GB power system, considering the manifestation of policy, markets and technology at the point of delivery and sharing some reflections from managing the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on electricity demand.

Rosin Quinn

Roisin is Head of National Control for National Grid ESO. She is accountable for the real-time operation of Great Britain’s electricity system and the systems and processes that support it. Roisin is the ESO’s chief engineer and has held a number senior leadership roles across the ESO, most recently in Strategy and Regulation. Roisin is a member of the Advisory Group for Energy Futures Lab and is Vice-Chair of the board of RenewableUK.
