Banner highlighting the Transition to Zero Pollution Singapore Launch Event. Taking place on Tuesday 10 November at 16.00-17.00 in Singapore or 08.00-09.00 in the UK. The Keynote speaker is Professor Nigel Brandon, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering and this keynote will be followed by an expert panel.

This event will launch Imperial’s new flagship initiative Transition to Zero Pollution alongside Singaporean friends and collaborators.

Part of Imperial’s new Academic Strategy, this initiative aims to advance transdisciplinary approaches to avoid the siloed thinking that has caused issues in the past and take a holistic approach to tackling pollution in all its forms. We are bringing together researchers across Imperial to build new partnerships that converge disciplines, from fundamental science and engineering, systems thinking, human health, new business models, and policymaking.

Given the growing importance of climate change and the environment to both the Singaporean and UK governments in a post-Covid world, this will event will emphasise the growing opportunities for future collaboration between the UK and Singapore in this important global challenge.
