Join IGHI’s Health Innovation Prize final as five budding health innovators compete for the prize of £10,000 in our exciting Dragon’s Den-style event.

The competition (formerly known as the Student Challenges Competition) provides a platform for UK students to showcase their idea to improve global health and win money towards developing it further. Our finalists will pitch their idea and take questions from our judges and the audience. By attending this event, you will get to help decide who wins our Audience Choice Award.

Winners will be announced on IGHI’s website the following day.

Meet the finalists and watch their pitches below (in no particular order):

1. SnapSense AI – a remote diabetes foot ulcer monitoring app with AI capabilities by Olivia Qingwei Zhang, Imperial College London

2. BioLiberty – bridging the gap between hand weakness and independent living by Ross O’Hanlon, Queen’s University Belfast

3. Calidiscope – a medical device focused on early detection of life-threatening conditions by Luthfun Nessa, Cardiff University

4. Happyr Health – personalised and playful disease management for children with chronic pain by Cornelius Palm, Imperial College London

5. MediTask – a company that designs, manufactures, and sells task trainers by Krishan Nandapalan, Newcastle University
