You’ve heard of the character table of a finite group, and you may have heard of a Brauer character table of a finite group. But what is a trivial source character table of a finite group? I will introduce trivial source modules, and discuss why we should be interested in them and their characters. I will also review what is already known about trivial source character tables and discuss recent results for the case of SL_2(q).
This is joint work with Caroline Lassueur and Bernhard Böhmler.
